In partnership with IPMA((Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere), ADENTIS developed an innovation project, regarding Artificial Intelligence, with main goal to create a Virtual Meteorologist

Uweather is an AI-powered weather app that transforms complex weather data into vivid and engaging descriptions, empowering you to experience the weather like never before.

Development of an assistant for descriptive weather forecasts to help meteorologists with their work​​

Challenges

Moving from producing descriptive forecasts manually to automatically, using AI and NLP techniques‍

There are tools of this type for other languages, but not yet for Portuguese, which opens the door to their application in other Portuguese-speaking countries.

The methodology we use for processing meteorological data can be extended to other fields besides meteorology, where it is important to obtain information on favorable weather conditions for fishing activities, water sports, agriculture and the production of renewable energy (wind, tidal).
